We encourage each health department to have at least one accreditation representative in attendance. The webinar is free; however, registration is required. We’re excited to bring you newly updated New to Accreditation resources on our website. This page is designed to be a landing page for folks new to accreditation, and is now complete with an option to sign up for the monthly highlights directly. You can also now complete an online form to complete any accreditation contact updates.

Fall 2023 Site Visits complete!
Thank you to all AACs, site visitors, and other accreditation team members who participated in a site visit this fall! We are excited to complete a successful site visit cycle, and we are currently completing evaluations so we can learn from the many changes this year.
Office Hours Continue!
In the new year, we will continue to hold office hours at the start of each month, following the monthly highlight timing. This is a time for any accreditation team member to ask questions and discuss updates in a casual setting with program staff. You can see the full office hour schedule online.
Equity Related Resources
As we communicate accreditation updates through monthly highlights, we also have an opportunity to share existing resources that can help support equity related accreditation activities, including accessible training opportunities. Please email us if you have resources you would like to share in this space!
Building Health Equity Webinar Series: Disability Justice and Health Equity Practice
We were excited to see this webinar opportunity come across our inboxes from folks at Iowa, and we wanted to pass along the information. This session on November 9 from 2-3 pm Eastern Time will discuss resources and strategies to achieve equitable environments for folks with disabilities. Learn more and register.

Sharing Leadership
Our AAC Advisory Council recently decided to distinguish the roles between Regional Workgroup Coordinators and AAC Advisory Council Representatives, which creates clearer distinction of responsibility while opening up additional opportunities for accreditation leadership. The newly updated Regional Workgroup webpage reflects who is currently filling these leadership positions, with a few open spots across the state.
