2022-2023 NCLHD Accreditation Annual Report

Message from the Interim Accreditation Administrator

Margaret Benson Nemitz, MPH

The North Carolina Local Health Department Accreditation Program was back in action in 2022-2023. During this year, we fully resumed site visits, implemented many program revisions, and continued paving the way for the future of accreditation in North Carolina. We adjusted and adapted to changes in the field and changes to our teams, and through it all we worked together with partners across the state. In the year to come, we are excited to continue learning from our history as we improve current site visit processes and propose additional program improvements.
