All new AACs, co-AACs or backup AACs are encouraged to join us for this interactive training that provides an orientation to the accreditation process, a basic overview of the new online dashboard for evidence submission and review, and tips for being a successful AAC. Please note this is not for experienced AACs. The training will be held April 25, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lida Blalock Hall (next to the Wilson County Health Department), 1801 Glendale Drive, Wilson, N.C. 27893.

Registration will close at 5 p.m. on April 11.

NCLHD Accreditation Dashboard On-Boarding
All of the health departments that have not yet received access to the Dashboard will start to receive communication in May regarding their on-boarding to the Dashboard.

ACCREDITATION IN ACTION

Annual Survey
Each year, the NCLHD Accreditation program administers a survey to get your feedback into the program. We were initially planning to administer the survey between April 3- May 3, 2019. However, we realize that many health departments across the state recently responded to the assessment of N.C. Local Public Health Training needs. Therefore, we are going to delay sending our survey until this summer.

The survey identifies areas of quality improvement in the NCLHD Accreditation Program. We would like to hear from AACs, health directors and other Accreditation team members from every health department in the state. All AACs and health directors will be emailed the survey link and can share it within their health departments. We look forward to receiving your feedback.

Microsoft Teams
There have been more posts in the NCLHDA Team; if you haven’t checked it out for a while, you may want to visit and see if you have any resources to share. If there is an activity that you are interested in, you can always “follow” it so that you will get a notification when someone adds a new post. If you need a reminder about how to follow a channel, you can review the user guide that is posted on the General Channel under “Files.”

We have created a new channel for the new Dashboard. This is the channel where you can post questions or comments to other AACs about the use of the Dashboard. As a reminder, the NCLHDA Program Staff does not monitor this account. So, if you have any specific questions that you need answered by us directly, please email us at NCLHDaccreditation@unc.edu.
