Message from the Accreditation Administrator

The North Carolina Local Health Department Accreditation Program focused on strategy in 2020-2021 as site visits were placed on hold due to COVID-19. While everyone pivoted to adjust to new COVID-19 landscapes, accreditation coordinators and partners also dived into improving the future of this program. With much support, we released a strategic roadmap and work plan to pave the way for 2021-2025, which emphasizes quality improvement, equity, and collaboration. We completed a thorough revision to the HDSAI Interpretation Document. We found ways to connect and work together across the state. Nothing about this year was easy, yet we are proud of what everyone has accomplished together.
